The
Global Postural Re-Education is born in 1981 and is an original and
revolutionary method of based
osteo-muscular
rehabilitation on simple
principles: In the first place, all static or dynamic muscular activity is
always concentric and entails to a muscular shortening; it is for that reason
that there is to re-educate muscles in stretching permanently.
As our muscular system is divided in tonic and phasic muscles, in case of
hypertonia our static muscles are used excessive respect of very important form,
giving as result the deviations and compressions you will articulate.
Consequently it
is advisable in the first place, to stretch the static muscular system. In
addition, as our muscles are organized under form of muscular chains, all
segmental stretching becomes ineffective.
In order to stretch a muscle effectively it is necessary to throw on the set of
the muscular chain of which it comprises.
